16.1 Bois Naufragé - Pierre Guillaume Paris
Eau de parfum
Theme N° 16: Fig.
Inspired by French photographer Lucien Clergue's iconic black and white photograph, “Le nu au bois flotté” (Nude with Driftwood), Pierre Guillaume has created a fragrance that combines sun-heated skin and seawater-salted wood in a diptych, achieved by an unusual combination of notes of Egyptian fig, cedar and lactones. The chord of fleur de sel (a salt flower that forms on the rocks by the edge of the sea) is in the combination of vetiver, mint, hedione and a drop of neroli, giving the fragrance just a hint of the presence of the sea.
It is like standing on a beach, breathing in the iodised sea air, smelling the grayish-white driftwood carried by the waves onto the sun-heated sand, and the skin heated by the bright rays, with blood and lust for life pulsating underneath. A real olfactory trick that no one had ever managed before.
Egyptian fig tree, salt crystals, fougère accord, vetiver fraction, ambergris
